The Southern Hemisphere’s had it all
From eight years of no rainfall
To Queensland having floods
Earthquakes under Christchurch
Where iconic buildings once stood
Are services on a survival search

The mourning after nights before
We can’t open the door
Just leave us alone
These houses are our home
Unprecedented scenes
I’d never before seen

Picking up the pieces
Shattered lives may not recover
The missing toll increases
Of lost siblings fellow brothers
We all gather round
Looking down at cracks in the ground

It takes more than this to break resolve
When people get involved

Unity will win the fight
By working day and night
Strangers forming friendships
Now people know their neighbours
Was this always in the script?
Caused by natures bad behaviour
